AttendanceMattersRI: Governor McKee, Commissioner Infante-Green Recognize Weekly Attendance Leaders and Improved Schools (Week of May 13, 2024) Published on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 PROVIDENCE, RI – Acknowledging the importance of consistent attendance in education and in alignment with the #AttendanceMatters campaign, Governor Dan McKee and Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green are pleased to highlight the top elementary, middle, and high schools with the greatest average weekly attendance. The following schools are Rhode Island’s attendance leaders for the week of May 13, 2024*: Elementary: Clayville Elementary School, Scituate – 97.5% Middle: Times2 STEM Academy** – 98.5% High: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts** – 96.2% Special recognition is extended to the following schools for demonstrating the most improved average attendance rates from the previous week: Elementary: Greenbush Elementary School, West Warwick – 5.9% Middle: Esek Hopkins Middle School, Providence – 4.6% High: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts** – 5% The Governor and Commissioner express their gratitude and encouragement to all schools in Rhode Island for their ongoing efforts to prioritize attendance and reinforce the value of consistent learning experiences for all students. *As of Tuesday, May 21 at 6 a.m. **Schools with multiple grade levels (i.e. elementary and middle school) are categorized by RIDE by their largest population
